Tasting notes of Terrua Tuerê chocolate by Casa Lasevicius
The brown color is adorned with beautiful mahogany accents and particularly plays with the light. The nose oscillates between cocoa and chocolate with notes of dried fruits. The snap is clean and slightly dull. As for the crunch, it is sonorous. Then, on the palate, chocolate notes highlighted by fruits set the tone. The melting and particularly coating texture gives the whole a delicious sense of indulgence. Very linear, the taste unfolds so that the notes clearly become those of red fruits. Finally, the length brings a touch of astringency that adds elegance, while maintaining an impressive hold over time. A bar that represents the quintessence of a classic dark chocolate due to its refined character. We want more.
The little extra: Enjoy this chocolate with a sip of cherry and raspberry compote. As simple as it is good.

The treasures of Brazil
Terrua Tuerê Casa Lasevicius, a chocolate that doesn't look like much. Even the mention of the distinction obtained does not stand out and seems almost anecdotal, as it is a prize from an Amazonian festival... However, for anyone who is interested in current trends, this bar piques curiosity. Indeed, Brazil is increasingly establishing itself as a key player in fine cocoa. In addition, the prominent presence of the cocoa producer is another auspicious sign.

Finally, the brand name, Casa Lasevicius, also sparks curiosity. The most experienced observers will rightly find something Baltic about it. Indeed, the family behind this bean-to-bar production has been established in Brazil for just under 100 years, after emigrating from Lithuania. Another country whose chocolates stand out! So many reasons to want to explore the history and the unsuspected treasures of Brazil.

Waldomiro Broechl
Sommelier's note by Nicolas Filippov - There are surprises that work in cascade. First the discovery of an excellent chocolate, then of a little-known and interesting brand, finally leading to a family history that intertwines the destinies of populations dispersed by the vagaries of grand History, which has been writing the story of globalization for longer than we realize in our daily lives. Enough to remind us of global challenges from another perspective. When I tell you that eating chocolate brings more than it seems...
